Life expectancy is the average age to which people live. Literacy rate is the percent of the people in a country that can read or write at an elementary level. GDP stands for gross domestic product and GDP is the yearly average value of goods and services produced in a country, per capita means per person. In my graphic organizer it showed the 3 economic indicators and their information in our 3 chosen countries. Unlike Canada or the U.S Vietnam is a developing country which means that they have low life expectancy, low literacy rate, few jobs and poor services. The United States would be a better country because it has a higher GDP per capita. Eventhough Canada and the U.S have equal literacy rate and Canada has a higher life expectancy the U.S would be a better country. Literacy rate GDP per capita and life expectancy helps us understand how industrialized and developing countries are similar and different. made by: Marlene |
